Is the B&J one basically ice cream between two cookies?
Yes, but the cookies are soft and chewy, so it's very yummy.

Sounds good. Chewy cookies > crunchy cookies any day 
If it's the 'soft' half then SOLD!
The packets do look small compared to the Maxibon. Shame.

These are £1 for 3 at sainsbury's
I have bought some, but the cookie bit is wafer, which isn't as good (still nice ice-creams though).

Just came back from Spain, and whilst I did have a couple of Maxibons, I also came across these...
behold, the Magnum sandwich - superior to the Maxibon in my opinion, because they're essentially exactly the same but with magnum ice cream - delish. I had a few, I must confess.

If you have a jack Fultons near you they sell them @ 3 for £1, not sure if J Fultons is just in Hull though.
