"Maxium 133GB fomatted capacity per disk"

I saw this on the specification for the Samsung HD300LJ HDD, what does it mean?

only thing i can think of is that you can set the jumper so that it only shows as 133GB to keep backwards compatible with older hardware

If I wanted though could I have just one partition that used all the space on the disk?

you using FAT 32 rather than NTFS?

Nope because some old(ancient) hardware would refuse to see the harddrive if it was too big

Either the motherboard is old and cant support larger hard drives or your not using win xp with service pack 1 as that service pack fixes for larger hdd sizes.
