Cycle 4 - Week 2 - Day 3

60*3

Pretty pleased with that actually, felt much better today training :)
 
Also hating my new gym, I've seen some sights since I joined.

Contemplating a home gym in the new year, something to think about.

I did klokovs last cycle and enjoyed them actually, will have another go with them after x-mas.

What was your max at the strongman meet?
 
It's my least favourite lift too, praying bench and squat goes well on the weekend, will be holding back a bit on deals instead of busting out a few extra no doubt dodgy reps...
 
Cycle 4 - Week 2 - Day 4

Deadlifts:

105*3
120*3
135*10

Felt like solid reps, could have squeezed a couple more out but I'm pleased with 10.

Rest day tomorrow and a birthday burger feast :D
 
Cycle 4 - Week 3 - Day 1

Bench:

70*5
80*3
90*1

Back to square one with benching, just cannot seem to get it to feel natural.

Along with eating more, in the New Year I may investigate some coaching from an S&C place near me to get some help with the big 3 lifts.

1RM not changed in 4 cycles of 5/3/1 :o

Ha! Funnily enough I am actually reasonably happy with how I'm looking at the moment but I just want my lifts to be better.
 
Cycle 4 - Week 3 - Day 2

Squat:

85*5
95*3
110*5

Failed on the 6th rep, not done that squatting before, god bless having a rack.

Progress from last week which is good but not as strong as I have been, so take what you want from that.
 
Jog on mr Olympic lifter! Bench is the only measure of strength in the real world. We all know that the first question you get asked when you say you lift weight is "how much can you bench" :rolleyes::o:p;):D:)

Now this is where you fall over, buddy...

I don't even have to tell anybody. ;) :D

175*1 (PB :D)

After the Christmas feasting I fancied trying a 1RM, went up OK in fairness.

Still using double over-hand grip and no straps, it feels as if my grip will fail before anything else.

Possibly have 180 in the tank without the fatigue from the *10 set.

Just need a squat 1RM now really.

Annoyingly I felt my neck tweak a bit on the last set of pull-ups, going to have a massage next week which is probably long overdue.

Proper deload required.

After that I'm going to try hit a squat 1RM and recalculate, eat more and hopefully smash through the plateaus in a few cycles time :cool:

Bit of an annoyance after yesterday but on wards and upwards.
