Hi, i just bought a maxtor basics 3200 500 gig external hard drive & used on one pc its fine, but on another pc it does not show up in "my computer" but it does in device manager but is really slow to show the results of properties when clicked under disc drives, it reports as no problems. Im guessing this is some sort of usb 2.0 problem but my pc is upto date with drivers etc, Under "Universal serial bus controllers" there is added a USB mass storage device & it shows "VIA USB Enhanced host controller", with the "Enhanced" suposedly showing that its USB 2.0. On the other pc that works right it shows "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host controller" as it says its ment to on the maxtor site, so the only thing i can see that is any diffrence between the 2 pc's is that one is showing a "VIA USB Enhanced host controller" & the other a "Standard Enhanced PCI to USB Host controller". Can anyone point me in the right direction with what may be wrong here, cheers
