Maxtor Diamondmax 11 500gb

Hello there,

I recently bought one of these drives and I hope I have chose the right 500gb one. Has anybody got any reviews on this drive as Id like to know what people think of it.

I am also scared if this 500gb drive dies as im gonna lose a lot in one go. I think another one might be a good idea and raid them.

500GB in one drive is a Crazy amount to loose! I would deinfatley have gone for smaller ones combined in a raid to make the space. At a minimum get another and mirror it!

yeah i would get 2 of 500GB and mirrored them, i'd get Thecus Yes Box, expensive but worth it, i'm waiting for price of 500GB to drop then gonna get Thecus Yes Box with 2 of 500GB, cheap 0.5TB mirrored NAS storage
