I have just had a a Maxtor hard drive die on me, so I decided to call Maxtor to get a RMA. #### me.... Took 10 minutes to get all of my details due to it being one of these call centres in India! Then they tell me I should really get hold of the company I bought the HD from, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THAT IN THE FIRST PLACE! :mad:

I hate these Indian call centres!

I know what you mean about those call centres.I hate dealing with them, but thats the way things are these days sadly. I remember when they usedto have their call centre in Ireland, but thats going back at least 6 years now !!

Can you not get an RMA number for your drive online ? Have done that several times in the past for maxtor drives, esp the advanced swap out rma, you give them your card details, they send out the replacement and they give you 30 days to send back the faulty unit.
 
I have just gone through were bought the HD from. Took me 30 seconds to get it sorted! :rolleyes: Just need to call them to arrange a collection.
