I have been looking at gpus around £350-£390 but with recently seing many maxwell threads, i wanted to ask if it worth the save up and wait and how many people on the forums are actually waiting :D

Rumors and speculation is they will be appearing next month.

I hope so, because i'm due an upgrade and what to maximise on future proofing.

The low-end stuff will be released in the coming months - by which I mean 650(ti) replacements. Not very exciting.

A 290 or a 780 will last you a couple of years at 1080p, no problems.

Only the lower end card might be available before the end of february

As above its likely the lower end. It would be too early to release the mid/top end given they are still milking the 780/ti/gti/gtiTurbo/Gti Turbo Black edition....:D

I would advice you to buy now a 290X with custom cooler at around £440. If you need to stay on £390 max, get a good 780 with high factory overclock or "quality". Like EVGA Classified or GA Ghz.

(I have a 780).
