Maxwell. Save and Wait or NO ?

I have been looking at gpus around £350-£390 but with recently seing many maxwell threads, i wanted to ask if it worth the save up and wait and how many people on the forums are actually waiting

The low-end stuff will be released in the coming months - by which I mean 650(ti) replacements. Not very exciting.

A 290 or a 780 will last you a couple of years at 1080p, no problems.

As above its likely the lower end. It would be too early to release the mid/top end given they are still milking the 780/ti/gti/gtiTurbo/Gti Turbo Black edition....

GTX 780 or R9 290 is your best bet for a fairly decent priced card that will last a couple of years..

I would advice you to buy now a 290X with custom cooler at around £440. If you need to stay on £390 max, get a good 780 with high factory overclock or "quality". Like EVGA Classified or GA Ghz.

(I have a 780).

The dude who does the reviews on Techpowerup more or less gave a subtle hint that new cards coming July / August. I guess he's in the know...

up to 45%. and won't do you much good if you can play with 98564875645% performance improvement, rainbows and ponies in july or august.
