Features:

New Marketplace blade; has quick link to Active Downloads
- Chat with MSN Friends from Dashboard or within games
- New low power downloading mode, auto-shut-off for downloads
- Watch partially downloaded videos
- Better Achievement organization; you can click a button to "Tell a Friend" about Achievements.
- Friends can see your GT and the game your playing via your Windows Live ID.

Was hoping for a bit more but if I can use my 360 and camera to chat with msn users (family) I'll be happy.

Not bad, like the MSN feature, saves me getting up to go to the pc, guess I will need a keyboard now though for the 360 :)

I don't know if I want my msn friends knowing what a geek I am! I have some very hot women added! :D

Not such a good update imo :/, msn will be useless with out a keyboard and watching video files that are still downloading is daft as we only get 80 meg clips

ffs, damn MSN intergration, now I'm going to get spammed with "How do I use Google" in games. :(

kkelly, Its for the US store, with their fancy HD movies...

Edit: The new acheivement system looks cool though, how I got annoyed at having to quickly bash the guide button to see how much my e-peen grew.

I would much rather had a Internet Browser and some sort of Windows Media Interface that supported Divx/Xvid streaming but doesnt look like its going to happen legitimately... EVER... :(

I'm after web browsing too, i just cant see it happening :(

It isnt all that great, still use my laptop to view anything and not the PS,although I was impressed at going onto youtube etc and watching vids there.

Why can't they give you the option for a group chat? The amount of times I have mates online and we cant go in a private chat together without playing the same game its quite stupid. Quite cool with MSN i guess.

That's what my PC is for. I play games on my 360 funnily enough ;)

Down with browsing on the 360! Booooo!!!

Thats it though, the next gen consoles aren't purely for gaming, they are media machines, made to watch HD DVDs, watch home made vids, view pictures, listen to music, communicate with friends oh and play games. Its not suprising that web browsing is featured on the PS.

Apart from plugging their Windows Live ID and MSN Messenger products, does this update seem a bit "and what else....?" to anyone else?

I genuinely think most people do not care about PC to 360 connectivity and sending cross format messages. Also I worry about people who need to "Tell a Friend" about their achievements.

I must admit, I thought the web browser add-on was the next "due" feature. And the ability to delete the 6GB of wasted space on the HDDs, rather than reserve it for BC information that most people do not use.

Im guessing you will be able to disable the MSN feature so those that dont want it wont have to use it, would be much better if they just gave us group chat. And not turn of the controller when in chat either :D
