Maybe looking for a car

350Z simply HAS to have the body kit, otherwise it looks like a girlies car ;-) (You don't have to have the BGW though)

V6 Alfa's are a good shout as well :-D

Any chance of a Boxster 'S' in that price range?

My Z4 3.0i has both cruise control and climate and was nearer to 7k than 8k last summer when I bought it.

There are definitely Z4s around that meet all your criteria and if you liked the driving dynamics then it's almost perfect.

As mentioned, mod cons on an S2000 are few. I don't think they were offered with cruise or climate.

Would a Boxster be an option? I don't know what tuning options might be available for it but from a quick look a 3.2L would be in your price range albeit at around 10 years old. They also might not count as particularly subtle but they're fairly ubiquitous so they don't necessarily stand out for that reason.

A really far out option could be a Corvette but of course it's LHD and for your budget it could be knocking on for 25 years old. Lots of potential for fettling and a bit unusual over here.

//edit Audi TT as another potential?

As I said, the tuning side of things is just something I invariably do but not something that a car has to lend itself to necessarily. Good ideas there SPW definitely something to look at. :)

Did another quote, and got it under 500 :p

Yeah it's a big tax bracket - but what the heck eh?

Right, need to go and test drive some more cars. :)

Glad to hear they're not too stupid. The reason they came to mind is with the exception of the Corvette they're what I would be considering if I was to replace my current car but I'm still pretty happy with the Coupe right now.

On an unrelated note if you are up for the gym tomorrow or in the week then give me a shout. :)

I reckon £7k could get you a decent e46 M3 these days, so long as you know what you're looking for and are prepared to hunt around!

For wheel horse power I agree. But heck it's not the reason I've bought it. :)

It ticks the right boxes. I shan't be modding it until I've recovered from the purchase.

Then I can think about tweaking. :)

Good colour, mileage/price/spec etc?

Any interior shots?

UK GT Spec. So Brembo brakes, heated leather seats, cruise control. 70k miles, in great nick, full service history, and impeccable interior. Under 9k.

I didn't take many pics at the dealer, I'll take more when I get it home next week - this is what I've got.
