My cousin is busy rebuilding his 205 gti 1.6.. hes just bought dellorto DHLA 40 carbs.. would anyone know where he could get the parts he needs to fit them to the 205?

looking about the net and cant find a manifold or anything for them

is he a member on 205 GTi Drivers? there's a For Sale and Wanted section on there, someone's bound to have a manifold. or he could just get a custom one made.

Yeah hes on GTI drivers but having no luck

Just a couple pics.. he waiting on parts at the moment. its his first time taking a engine apart lol.. hes had the liners honed and head skimmed as head gasket had gone. erm hes replacing all gaskets and barings etc.. new sports manifold.. the carbs are going on.. full exhaust system.. and its stripped out with only 2 bucket seats... its his weekend toy.. or will be

Has he not thought about going down the Mi16 + carbs route?

nah.. EVERYONE and their dog goes the mi16 route lol.. hes being different and keeping the 1.6 lol and upgrading parts etc.. its as much a learning exercise (for both of us really) as it is a toy has a 1.9 rear beam to go on there also for discs on back.. baring in mind.. the quickest thing he has owned is his 1.9 diesel van lol.
