Mayhem, Southend.

very random and possibly unanswerable question here

when in southend on a monday night ( think it was a monday night  ) we went to some bar/club and dont know where it was or what it was and would love to find out lol

we tried finding it the week after but had been too drunk the week before to even remember where it was : :o

basically we started off near the casino and walked along the sea front past closing pubs/past amusments etc looking for some where open till we heard music coming from down this side street of a bigger street in what seemed like a town centre or part of it

was a tiny place but was absolutley heaving (mainly studenty type people)

bar infront of the entrance on the right

downstairs was indie/electro stuff with the odd classic getting played upstairs was dead dark and was drum and bass stuff. there might of been an other floor but i was in no state to go exploring

this was in august :/

still remains a mystery , went to mayhem once and it was ok actually , went to talk a few times , once on a wednesday when it was the opening for a cheesy as hell 80s night with a wacko jacko impersonator :p

Went to Mayhem Saturday night, had a good time. Seems to be quite well kept. Was chatting to the bouncer, and he was a bit worried as it was the first night he'd not worn his bullet proof vest :p

looks like it was :)

not the sort of place to go if you dont like small spaces thats for sure

edit - definetly was after seeing some pics , what mental night that was ,

apart from everyone calling each other slaaaaaags i quite enjoyed southend lol

ah the alex what fun that place was! £1 a pint, yum

the brush = death for me

i drunk loads a night i went and then we had to drop a girl off at basildon in a taxi and she had loads of speedbumps on her road which led to me being sick all over myself. lol and the taxi man didnt even notice which was a result as i would have to walk 15 odd miles in nothing but a short sleeve shirt and 3 in the morning!

I remember walking back from the Brush with my mate once from Rayleigh all the way to Westcliff. Didn't actually do too bad on timing really, considering we were drunk. Did it in about 2 and a half hours I think.

I was in Saks for new year's eve 05/06.

The DJ kept playing some really annoying electro-trance, which after about two hours actually made you want to crack your head open.
