Yo!

How trustworthy is Mazuma Mobile? I have my old iPhone 3G and they quote £60 for my 8gb model. Not bad for my old paperweight but are there any horror stories out there that will put me off using this service?

Thanks

i will be honest, you will get more selling it privately

(edit) you would probably get about 100 quid for it on gumtree etc

You will get more selling privately, no doubt, but if you want to use Mazuma then fear not, they are very reputable and reliable.

I've never had a problem selling to Mazuma. Very quick, and never tried to lower the price likes these kind of companies normally try.

I have sold two non-smartphones with no issues and prompt payment from them

Sold an old broke phone to them and 3 other working phones bunged it off believing my phone was too broke to be worth anything. Happily received 53 quid the next day. Pretty faultless would defiantly use again

Sold both my Omnia (£107) and my BlackBerry Bold2 9700 (£102) to them.. very fast turn around!.. Always paid the extra on postage (don't want it going astray!!) and I take pictures of the Phone's condition and packing to have a 'Proof' record!.

But no Problems so far!!.. will probly use them in a years time when my Xperia Arc is due for upgrade!! :D

It's worth mentioning that if you have what mazuma deem to be a "non working" phone, that they pay the least out of most of the recycling companies, purely down to the way their testing and grading model works.

Envirofone typically pays the highest (on average) for a handset with faults, but that's why the payment cycle is longer, as the testing process is far more thorough, and there is a 3-day window in which a customer can accept or reject (and receive their phone back) an offer on a phone deemed "faulty".

I guess simply put, if you have a phone that has faults, and aren't desperate for the cash to be with you next day, you're probably best off not using mazuma.
