MB upgrade do i need to reinstall?

Hi guys

ive jsut bought a Foxcon blackops mb to replace my p5q3 board what is the best way to swap boards with minium hassel do i need to reinstall? or can i get away with just removing the drivers?

I've always found that you need to reinstall.

I actually got away by booting up in safe mode and removing the old mobo etc... drivers first.

You will need to re-activate windows as well.

But I would fresh install.

a fresh install is always recommended mate.

but you can have a go at uninstalling all motherboard/chipset, etc drivers, replacing the board and install the new drivers and see how you get on.
