Was playing a game last night on my MBP whilst it was on battery, the game crashed and when I tried shutting down I ended up having to force quit the still open game process. It didn't seem to shutdown very well after I'd done that either as the desktop wallpaper remained on the screen with a spinning beach ball. Eventually the screen powered off and I assumed it had finished shutting down.

Turned it on this morning and according to iStat Pro the battery has 0% charge, 62% health after 11 cycles. Clearly something is not adding up because I'm typing on it right now, its been running 10 mins, and it hasn't gone to sleep yet.

How can I recalibrate/fix the battery?

Were you using Windows when it died?

There's a known issue with the Windows Power Management drivers :(

I wasn't usnig Windows, but I was playing a game that used "transgaming" stuff - which I believe is a Windows API wrapper, or something.

I drained the battery totally (left it in sleep for a few hours until it stopped blinking :() and its now charging again, hopefully it'll recablibrate itself.

Thanks for the help! :)
