MBP High Res Screen

Hi All,

Just about to batter my HE discount and was wondering if the High Res screen option on the 15" MBP was worth the extra £69? let me know asap Cheers

I love the high res screen.

Went and compared them side-by-side in the store and it's lovely! :cool:

15" with high res antiglare is what I'll replace my current MBP with when it dies.

Though a colleague got a 13" Vaio-Z this week, 1920x1080 on a 13" panel! That look awesome!

Only downer is it's more work for the GPU in games, but meh. It looks nice! :cool:

Don't know, sorry. I've not got a 2010 one... yet. Bet there's reviews online though

I doubt the GeForce GT 330M would struggle, but it's just worth remembering that the higher resolution you're driving the more work the GPU is having to do.

Though it's not like you're trying to run it at 2560x1440 or something massive!

I have the hi-res anti glare and it is superb. Glad I spent the extra - might as well since it was also HE

ordered! yay says estimated delivery 31st-1st, but expected dispatch 3 days, hopefully it will come faster and the GF can have my 2007 white macbook

The estimate they gave me was just over two weeks. It arrived after just over one!

Did you go for glossy or anti glare in the end?

I didn't even know the 15" had an option for a higher res display.

1680x1050 instead of the standard 1440x900

.

Looks very nice, especially in antiglare.

went for the glossy as I dont like the silver bezel on the anti-glare

yay its shipped in 1 day, im guessing its still in china says estimated delivery 28th aug surely it dosent take more than two weeks to get here

I don' think its uncommon for it to take that long, especially if its a custom order.

Think apple are torturing me, no updates other than its dispatched and is on its way from china, ive got no tracking as its merge in transit, still says expected 27th but dispatched on monday.
However they have emailed me the invoices and the applecare registration, god damn you apple enough with the teasing
