Currently sitting on the fence over the purchase of a 15" MBP on the 0% finance deal Apple are putting on at the moment.

I'm wondering if it's worth taking the plunge, on the 1 hand it seems a good time to buy as I've long wanted 1, but at £1549 it's a tough decision to make, especially with so many other cheaper options around. Opinions ?

:)

Know someone who can get you educational discount? If so you'll get 3 years warranty then it will be less than £500 per year which is less than £50 per month!!!

If you can't afford to pay for it up front then I wouldn't bother, unless you need it to earn a living.

Save up for it and buying one will feel even better. :)

I made the pledge to get rid of my Windows laptop, and Gaming Rig.. Moved over to Mac for various reasons. Love how everything works together especially now iCloud, both my MBP and iMac aswell as my iPhone4S Mirror each other, Mails,Music,Calendars etc..Also Airport Express allows me to Wireless play music through my 5.1 System Wirelessly on either of my devices.

Bought my dad a Windows Laptop, 500GB HHD 4GB DDR3 Ram, 2.1 Duel Core CPU I believe and compared to my Mac it feels sluggish.

Deffo worth the investment for build quality and performance, but if your budget is tight I would wait until you could afford to purchase it straight off.

Each to there own I believe.

Oooh good find, they did this last year in the run up to Christmas. I was annoyed I missed it then... though less so now as everythind is Thunderbolt!

MacRumors suggest ivy bridge in may, thats long enough away for me. if you wait 6 months for an upgrade you will never buy a computer

while they are 0% you'd be half mad to do the above

even if you had the £1500 in your hand you could stick it in a savings account and buy the macbook on 0% and make profit. the money would even still be there if for example you lost your job and couldn't manage the finance

its a good deal

That's what I did, I moved the 2k for the MBP into a savings account but still used the credit.

Sure I won't make much but it also means that if something happens and I need that money its available.

Well I decided the take the plunge, infact I'm writing this message now from the very machine. Couldn't be happier. Excellent deal IMO.

Congrats. Fantastic machines, I love 'em. I even know of a few folks who cannot get on with OSX but love the Apple hardware, so just run Windows on MBP....
