Hey guys,

since uninstalling boot camp I've noticed that when I restart, my MBP pauses for about 30-45 secs before the chime sound. I've tried reparing disk, resetting pram, etc but it did not help. Has anyone else ever seen this before? It's very irritating!

iv noticed the same on mine recently.. takes a good while longer to reach the chime than normally did. I installed bootcamp ages ago but just got so sick of windows that I removed it.

I think there may be a bug with the bootcamp uninstaller. It's probably screwed the partition table!

do you know if there is any way to check if the partition table is wrecked? i remember after i uninstalled bootcamp i had to start up in the safe mode and then repair disks or something

Have you repaired disk permissions?

You can do it in Disk Utility :)

Go to System Preferences and Startup Disk and make sure the start up disk is set to OSX, think this fixed it for me!

Best of luck!

Josh
