Lo all,
Some of you may remember just under a year ago I had the screen replaced on my MBP 3,1 because of a strange grey 'blob' that had appeared on the screen.
At first I thought it was something to do with the backlight but later found out that somehow dirt had found its way in between the layers of plastic that make up the screen.
I had Applecare so it was replaced for free.
Anyway, it's happened again. I've just been into the Apple Store to sort out another replacement and they have been great about it, very apologetic that it's happened again etc.
It's just a shame that their (at the time) top of the line laptop screen has this inherent fault.
It's quite easy to see how it happens when you get close to it, because there's a tiny gap between the outside of the case and the panel.
I know the new MBPs are completely sealed so it's unlikely to happen to any of the new laptops. I just don't want it to happen for a third time and I'm not sure what I can do to prevent it.
Panzer
