We use McAfee VirusScan v8.0 here running latest engine & DATs & up until now have be happy with it's performance.
However in the last couple of weeks the Exchange server and the client machines have not been detecting a virus. Namely w32/stration.dldr:

Yesterday McAfee claimed that the previous evenings DAT would detect it (which it didn't) & today they claim the DAT released last night does (but it doesn't). I opened a service request with McAfee almost 24 hours ago & no response. I had the suspicious attachment checked by Avert Labs WebImmune, who detected it as w32/stration.dldr.
It's just bloody embarassing when users are forwarding you suspicious attachments (which are viruses) when the software isn't doing it's job!
The odd thing is that the Exchange server seems to find them when it does it's daily scan but not when it scans the mails when they arrive.
I've Googled to try to find out if anyone else is experiencing issues with McAfee VirusScan, but no joy. A long shot, but thought i'd try on here as i know that there are a few network admins.
Cheers
Scott
