Did you know that a big mac has a gurken in it just so it falls under the legal limit of sugar percentage content to not be classed as a dessert.

Surely that is an urban myth?

I prefer burger king, but neither are great.

It makes sense because food is vat free but a dessert would not be hence a clever tax saving is made.

I went to a five guys in Philadelphia. Very nice burgers. But now we have GBK and Byron. Hmm I always seem to find an excuse to link to this article, it's very good!

The food in McDonalds is nowhere near as nice as the local takeaways, though for some reason I get more satisfaction from eating a McDonalds. Strange.

AFAIK, Hot take away food attracts VAT. As it does if eating food on the premises. However, from that one could say that a milkshake to go wouldn't attract VAT.

These days I'd probably only go to McDonalds if I was literally about to pass out from starvation and it was the only place around where food was available. I try and avoid McDonalds/Burger King/KFC these days as much as possible.

Someone will probably come along with a wise-arse remark after reading that but it's the truth and it isn't stopping you from going to McDonalds or any of the other places.
