McD's - Grim :(

Subway > KFC > All other fast food.

As a student I get a free burger/cheeseburger from mcdonalds though so I still go there on occasion

I have genuinely never been to KFC and can't remember the last time I had a McD or BK meal. Is there something wrong with me?

I genuinely enjoy McD's chickenburgers. Last night, however, I abandoned one which looked suspiciously undercooked...

This lunchtime I had a McD's for the first time in ages. Quarter Pounder + Cheese Meal - large, with Strawberry Milkshake and six chicken nuggets.

Was nice whilst I was scoffing it down, but as per usual afterward felt bloated and lethargic. I always seem to forget this bit....

I like all of em tbh, Burger King > KFC > McDonalds. Although I always feel guilty after eating a McD's.

Dallas BBQ Sirloin Steak Burger in New York (They are a chain over there, albeit a small one) was THE nicest burger I have ever had, and the nicest fries ever as well :(

GBK is pretty much the only place I will eat a burger from. Haven't eaten McD's ever since I realised just what I was eating perhaps 4/5 years ago.

I love the way you say it failed to live up to expectations despite you spending the first half od the post deriding McD's and slating their food.

What you really meant was it exactly met your expectations of being carp and tasting foul :-)

The only decent burger from McD is the bog standard cheesebuger, maybe also the quarter pounder but that's it! It's when they start putting mayo in there it all goes wrong.

They still do awsome apple pies through, nom nom nom

Our local pub does a full carvery for £7.50. The ultimate in fast food as you can go straight up plus you ar getting a decent meal. .. plenty of veg.

Does not compute :D.
Veggies = disgusting.
Fried thngs and mayo = heaven.

Oh and to add, imo:
1: KFC = win, the fries are a bit dry though but that aside, all meals are awesome. Also pepsi cola ( I prefer fanta and sprite over sisi and 7up, but imo pepsi>coca cola :D).
2: Subway (mmmmmm), best sarny's I've eaten in years. Very expensive though.
3: MacD. ( drools), fries are ok, burgers are delicious ( all of em, except the big tasty of which I don't like the sauce), not too dry and don't fall apart, usually penty of sauce ( sometimes a bit too little on the mckroket and mcchicken.) and their chicken wraps are heaven and their nuggets are one of the best around.
4: BK ( acceptable food but not a delicacy like the top 3: They burgers are too dry, they add too little sauce as a standard, their meat is regularly burnt and finally, they sandwiches/bugers fall apart WAY too easily). Fries are very nice when eaten fresh directly but suck if they've been transported/taken home. Problem is they rip you off: mayo is 40 or 45 bloody cents for a small bag of heinz mayo. And they want 50 cents extra for a bloody slice of cheese. The prices for a tasty burger ( which always falls apart when you eat it :() in BK are simply too high and the standard ham/cheeseburgers are too dry.

I never normally eat McDonald's, even if drunk, however yesterday evening I was in a bit of a rush getting to the cinema, so my cousin and I went into McDonalds to get something to eat - not that McDonald's usually serve anything that can be described as food, of course :p

I thought I'd try the "Big Tasty" burger as it looks like a direct competitor to something you'd find in BK. All I can say is that this "meal" failed to live up to expectations and was a full-on assault on my tastebuds and digestive tract :(

The "Char-grilled" effect seems to have been provided by someone riding over the patty with a bicycle a few times, and as for the taste, it seems like someone has liberally peppered the thing with finely ground chunks of coal.

I was hoping for a reprieve with the "fries", but it appeared that some alien holographic technology had been used as I'd never seen strips of cardboard look so appetising. :D

I feel ill and the damn burger has been repeating on me ever since :(

To conclude: Avoid like a swine-flu infected leper with bad AIDS...

Amen.

Not had one in years and considering a "menu" costs the same price as the daily special in most restos at lunchtime here in Belgium I'll never buy one again.

I'm not really a fan of "fast food", however when I do go for a McD's, it has to be TWO double cheeseburgers, medium fries and medium coke.

MMMMMMMMM.

I sometimes have that for tea if I'm working late on what I call "Fat Fridays".

My freind offered to buy me a mcdonalds today, free food, i accept it, always, is it me or have big macs shrunk significantly in the past 10 years.
I remember big macs being burger sized once upon a time, not about 2 inches in diameter.

Top 5 chain fast food joints.
1. Subway, not horribly overpriced, their sandwiches are delicious, makes my mouth water. Only thing is sometimes the bread can get soggy in a meatball marinara, depends who makes it.
2. KFC, alright, battery chicken, rubbish quality, but the combination of herbs and spices is genius and makes up for it, chips aren't bad either.
3. Wimpy, the burgers are cooked fresh for you and made from average quality beef, as a result, not bad, a little overpriced but bearable. Only problem is they're fairly scarce nowadays.
4. Burger king, while the burgers are of a poor quality, they are a decent size, the xxl bacon cheeseburger i had a while back oozed with cheese which made the inferior burgers not matter. Wasn't soggy like some people suggest in the thread.
5. Dixy chicken, the chicken can be a little dry sometimes but still nice and the herbs aren't as good as kfc, the meals are good value for money.

I like the Big Tasty, always have. But if you don't get a freshly made one the lettuce goes all limp and then they taste rank.

I thought that as well. I remember years ago there was a buy one get one free deal at McDs and i struggled to eat them both. Now i could eat 3 of them lol.

I've gone off the burgers recently. I love the fries but they're way overpriced for what you get. I'd rather go to the chippy and get a big bag full of chips rather than a few skinny fries in an envelope.

prety much all fast food is good, apart from burger king, tastes ok but is extortinately priced for what it is, been ripped off so many times in there that i just plain hate the company now....

ill go a fast food place once a month or so, usually have to spend £10+ to get anywhere near full...

specially in BK... angus burger (tiny) with large (ye right...) fries... £6 :/
