I passed the 70-659 exam last week - took me three attempts, but I got there in the end. My company needed somebody to pass it in order to achieve their silver server competency in the Microsoft partner scheme. I'm not sure what to do next, but my current inclination is towards trying 70-640 again, then working towards MCSA 2008. Has anybody got any more updates to their certification journey?

I'm currently revising for the 70-640 exam, going to book in to take it in the next week or so.
Start on the 70-642 material next week at night college so want to get it boxed off as soon as possible! Lacking motivation atm!

That's a good point; it will no longer be possible to obtain the MCITP:SA and MCITP:EA certifications after the 31st of July. It doesn't make much of a difference for the Sever Administrator one, as the three exams required for that (70-640,70-642 and 70-646) will get you the MCSA 2008 certification. Anybody going for the Enterprise Administrator will need to pass all of the exams before the 31st of July, however, or they will have missed their opportunity.
What material are you using to study for the 70-640 exam? I haven't gotten around to reading my copy of the Microsoft Press self-paced training kit yet. I'm hoping it contains good coverage of RMS, FS and CA as these are barely mentioned in the Trainsignal course I purchased - and they featured heavily in the exam, which annoyed me somewhat. I want to have another go at it towards the end of April, but I don't want to fail it for a third time!

Nearest test centre for the MS Exams is around a 1.5 hour drive away, all of the local centres to me have closed one by one, incredibly annoying! 
Yeh thats right, its only the actual name MCITP:SA that is being dropped, you can still take the exams but you'll just get the renamed version of it which is MCSA (again!).
Ive been going to college one night a week doing the official Microsoft course, i've been following this with the CBT nuggets aswell and am now cracking onto the exam prep with doing practice exams.
I was going to book on for the test myself but I was informed that we get a discount rate because we've done the official course, so i'll wait until the college gives us the voucher. Plenty of time to revise in the mean time!
