Hull is Humberside though (isn't it?)... I'm not sure why Yorkshire & Humberside are grouped together.

Yorkshire has the most racecourses ... not sure why thats a good thing...

Well, Humberside has been officially known as the "East Riding of Yorkshire" since the 90s.

Because it used to be called Humberside.
I actually used to live there and I remember when I was about 7 or 8 every body mentioning this.

When I think of Yorkshire, I think of N, S, E, W etc. You'll also find that Humberside isn't its own county.
