Meat Loaf has passed away. RIP

This makes me feel very old. When I was in 6th form college there were a few albums that were never not playing in the background. "Bat out of Hell" was top of the list. Closely followed by "Rumours, Let there be Rock, Parallel Lines, The kick inside" They remain my favorites to this day.

Sad day. RIP

Sad loss.
Caught him twice, Bad Attitude in 84/5 and Everything Louder... in 93. he'd been kept off the #1 spot by the Mr Blobby single and someone shouted something out about it. he said something like "what do i think about mr blobby?!" big cheers etc probably thinking he was going to rant, but he said something like "he's raising money to help kids so it's all good by me."

i would say rest in peace but he's probably still rocking like a madman :-D

Spine tingling stuff. And most people think that’s Celine Dion’s song

He made a good fist of it, and I’ll always be happy to listen to him, but to quote my old mum, Celine Dion’s version put him up in the corner, as good as Mr. Aday was, he just wasn’t in the same league as Ms. Dion.
Of course, your opinions may differ, each to his own.

I guess we will never know what it was that he wouldn't do.
The answer is the previous line of each refrain, I’ve never understood how people don’t know this as it obvious the first time you hear the song.

Back on topic RIP a great singer who churned out a few absolute classics that will forever remind me of growing up even if they are not still in my rotation.
