Meater - worth it?

Youtube videos are out now. Seems a good upgrade but not sure if its worth it. If mine died i will replace it but i generally only bring it out for rotisserie or big cooks
 
I'm in the market for meater or similar currently use a wired industrial one that I bought years ago where you can change out any k type thermocouple. How reliable are the wireless ones with regard to abuse? Looking to use in a mixture of settings including rotisserie over open fire and in wood oven.
 
Are they worth it for oven cooking as well.

Looks like the new one can do 500c so could go in my pizza oven for when I do steaks.

Meater Plus 49.99 courtesy of costco black friday which makes it cheaper than the Tempspike ones. Anyone ever mulled getting one thats a bargain
