Mecca Time

One geologist argued that unlike other longitudes, Mecca's was in perfect alignment to magnetic north.

The Wikipedia article on Mecca says that its longitude is 39º east, whereas the Wikipedia article on the magnetic south pole says that in 2004 the longitude of the north magnetic pole was 113º west and the south magnetic pole was 138º east. :confused:

Its because of the terrorists who blew themselves up a while back, their watches were set to Israeli time and the bomb was set to the palastinian time zone where it was made so was an hour faster

why would they replace GMT a largly used time plan that has been used for years. just so to please another religion again how about no..

Yeah but if you put a straight line round the earth through Mecca it will go through both magnetic north and south poles, hence proving Mecca is the centre of earth! :rolleyes:

Why don't they just do what the French do, create a timezone for themselves and call it what they want, and just like the French no one will take any notice of it...
