Thought this would be the appropriate section as I know gamers know these decisions really matter!

I think I've decided on the keyboard with the CM Storm QuickFire Pro Keyboard as it has the red cherry MX switches and is relatively cheap.

My problem is the mouse, I need to replace my R.A.T 3 as the braided cable has twisted itself so much that it's now started to randomly stop tracking, I've never been impressed with the tracking on it since I got it really, seems very twitchy and over sensitive. I've been looking at the M65 which seems decent and also noticed the G500 gets recommended a lot.

I don't really have a budget, I'd also take new recommendations on the keyboard if I've made a bad choice. Any help much appreciated :)

It is used by a lot of 'pro' teams. It looks simple and it is on the outside. It has a very good laser pointer (with it's own processor inside). It is also very customisable if you so wish and it is also very comfortable for long gaming sessions.

It is basically the ultimate stripped back mouse. No gimmicks, no silly design. It just works. There is a good reason the shape is based on the old MS Intellimouse.

Oh, you can also change the colours of all the lights. :D

Mice are subjective, you need to try some out and find what's comfortable. As a rule of thumb, any that are based on the old Microsoft Intellimouse is a good start.

Personally I prefer Logitechs (no longer made) MX518 and it's replacement the G400.

Cool, read some reviews and it seems extremely highly rated. Think I'll wait till they're in stock and also wait for this keyboard instead:

i've got a Deathadder respawn, I love it. If i was in the market for a new mouse it would almost certainly be one of those. :)

Uses to be a big Logitech fan, but cant get on with then now. Tried the Roccat Kone, hated it.

That would be a downgrade in terms of sensor performance. Sensei is still very good though, the Deathadder is just objectively better in the areas that matter (sensor). Of course if you care more about shape then Sensei then by all means try it out, you might prefer it to the Deathadder shape.

Zowie mouse are pretty nice, I'm using a sensei fnatic edition, love it. My favourite mouse. Steelseries engine programs a bit annoying, but mouse is good. CM Storm is supposed to be a good keyboard too, I'm using a filco majestouch-2.

Haven't got it yet Chief, should be here tomorrow, I'll do a small review of both. Will probably get a placebo effect with the keyboard considering the cost but I have high hopes for the new mouse.
