Mechanical Keyboard

The Ozone Strike is plain old layout, black and mechanical. It does have the left hand windows key replaced with an Ozone "function" key tho which is a bit of a pain but you quickly get used to it and its a decent keyboard for gaming if you don't require macros.

Steel Series 7G or 6Gv2 if you can not afford it. The main differences being the lack of i/o and hand rest. Both are phenomenol, and fit your description perfectly.

There is no doubt that the Filco is a daddy, but paying a premium of over £50 when the expensive parts, the keys, are the same as the Steelseries, is a lot of money in my opinion. :)
You pay a premium for quality on any product though. Plus the Filco gives you the option of picking what switches suit you best. Since the OP hasn't actually stated what he wants to use it for then the Steelseries model could be completely unsuitable.

I guess, but you use your keyboard every time you sit down at your PC, so it's worth it imo. Plus its only £10 more than the 7G.

Also the OP might not like the layout of the steelseries, the tiny shift key and giant enter key would get on my nerves, plus theres the missing windows key and the tiny backspace on the 7g.

He hasn't stated what he plans to use it for but he has stated switch preference...

Cherry Red.

I had a Black Widow Ultimate which I've just had to return as it died after only 4 months. It was a great keyboard, if a little noisy.

I've replaced it with a Corsair K90 Vengeance as my local supplier had no more Black Widows in stock and I am really pleased with it. Looks lovely, feels great to type on and no where near as noisy as the Black Widow. My PC is beginning to look like an advert for Corsair :)

Yeah I saw that after I posted and was going to edit but had to go out. I'd definitely go for a Filco still although Red switch Filcos are harder to find. Steelseries are out because they use Black switches.
