Mechanical RC Speed controller

Ok ive got a tamiya tl-01, standard mechanical speed controller, how do i completly reset the the neutral position (using the slider on the control doesnt move it enough) as it goes to far one way.

Turn on radio gear.

Center Trim

Unscrew Servo Horn and take off, move to center.

Screw back down

Unscrew the arm, centre the servo and screw the arm back on?

its a bit awkward to take the arm off, gotta unscrew either servo or speed controller so i can unhook the arm, any other way

Nopes, unless the arm between the speed controller and servo can be adjusted for length.

ok when do i do this, when the car has no power what so ever, when the battery is connected but everything is off, when the car is off but controller off?

Radio gear must be on (controller and power to the cars servos)

Disconnect the pinion from the motor, that way it wont turn the wheels when you are doing this.

Or take the servo horn off without power, center the speed controller then power it up, center servo, power off put it back together

Pointless pulling things apart unless you have to!
