Media Center replacement?

Been using a media center PC for a year and whilst its generally good, it crashes now and again, loses the program listings and wipes the channels (using a freeview card). Basically I've decided I've had enough and am going to turn the PC into a server which I need anyway, so no loss there.

What I was wondering is if there is a stand alone box that does the same thing as a media center? MP3s, Divx, freeview with Hard Disk, etc.

Anyone know of anything like this? Not looking to run anything else on the PC at the moment as I need a server for revision purposes, so looking to buy a standalone box of some sorts.

Any links, ideas would be appreciated! Cheers! As much as the media center REALLY winds me up sometimes, not I'm used to it I dont want to live without it!!
 
I use my Xbox as a divx player and MP3 player which does the job nicely. I then have my TV card in my server and use it to broadcast over the LAN so that other PCs can use it to watch TV on individually. Could you do something similar?

what TV card? how to configure it to broadcast over the LAN? what software to viewing the broadcasting TV?

i've got hauppauge PVR150MCE tv card.
