Media Player: Capable of playing BluRay ISO's

All, I have found that my trusty WDTV HD (original) is more than capable of playing a 1:1 bluray either as an ISO/MKV/M2TS however if the film has forced subs such as Avatar (Navi) it is unable to play the PGS subtitle stream. So a couple of questions really

1.) Anyone know of another way I can use my WDTV HD to do this?

2.) are there any other media player boxes that can do this well?

3.) is a HTPC the best option?

Looks great, will certainly do some more research. I don't suppose anyone has Avatar or a film with forced subs they could try from a BluRay ISO~?
