Change : update ffmpeg, remove old AMR decoder and use latest.;
Change : some code cleanup;
Fix : debug build crash;
Change : Add info in MediaType about AMR codec;
embed the manifest files directly via the rc files;
remaked "Select shaders..." dialog (thanks to judelaw);
Fix : MPEGSplitter, when switch tracks - do not switch the other tracks, if it related to the new program;
Change : comment some ASSERT() for the easy debugging;
update buildmingwlibs.sh (/tags/v1.0.2);
Change : modify patch for MinGW64 to compile libmingwex.a with GCC 4.6.x
fixed a typo in the buildmingwlibs.sh;
Fix : issue with black screen on Haali render at file open, thanks to judelaw;
Fix : MPEGSplitter, incorrect parse video stream on old QuickTime MPEG4 files;
Change : modify event on Mouse DBLClick;
Fix : Cursor does not hide when he does not need to hide with multi-monitor configuration - patch by judelaw.

VLC is nice but MPC-HC has more features as far as a strong media player goes. There are some unique features of VLC I suppose.

The author channel by Gabest on SF isn't often updated, the XVID page uses much newer components in their builds and is updated almost every other day :)
 
I've been using BE for months and months.. The updates on the xvid site had gone quiet for a a month or so

The logo does indeed rock :D

Much nicer interface than VLC imo, in my opinion, hands down the best video player
 
They might do. Customise the hotkeys how you like under "keys" in settings.
 
yea i just installed the 32bit version as a test and it looks like it has the new features of the other build and the new black mod is great, thanks .

not too sure i like the new icons though :/ maybe i just need to get used to them.

They're all the same 'trunk' or build path, the BE mod quick UI patch that is applied during the compiling process.

The latest MPC-HC is the same as the latest MPC-HC BE, just a few GUI tweaks

The link that Groen gave is the same trunk too, just sometimes one or the either can be a few build numbers ahead. There is one central store, the links that we see here are just different complied exes, I'm not sure why the official site is updated so rarely
 
Is there an option where I can keep the player the same size as when I last closed it? (probably doesn't make sense).

Also, is there any option allowing the player to open in the top right of my screen rather than the centre?

I basically want the player to open at around 800px wide and in the top right corner of my screen. Am i asking/hoping for too much? :)
