hmmm after being a windows media player 11 fan for years i tried vlc and thought that it was great...

however after trying this i think i ahve a new default player ... i stole the terminator startup logo from this thread btw... dont sue me

in MPC, press 1, then hold ctrl and tap 1,5

then it's a much better player

The 32 bit version is ace, the 64 bit not so much.

Nice to know that they're still updating this player, it was version 6.4.9.0 for oh so long...

The thread title is wrong, its "Home Cinema Edition" not "HD Edition" heh.

Ill get that wiki for you on how to use it to play BD. Not sure if it can handle the menu's etc but it will play the m2ts files.

this doesn't work with HD-DVDs either (yes using a HD-DVD drive).

I think it doesn't do Blu-ray or HD-DVD because it doesn't support the DRM. Doing so would be illegal via inbuilt codecs.

You can use AnyDVD to bypass the DRM easily !

VLC plays DVDs very well ? I will uninstall WinDVD if so!

Go to Options and you can choose a logo.
