Didnt like it myself, i prefer him in the films he was in through the 80s etc.

Nah the annoying talkative black man thing is old. Got the BH boxset but just like the first one. The retailer sent the entire boxset when I ordered BH 1! :-D

Shame Jerry isn't producing it. But I am looking forward to it and I was glad to see Eddie say he hated the 3rd movie. It royally sucked and made a mockery of the first two which were great.

It mentions he wants to go back to stand up though which could be interesting, Delirious and Raw were excellent, I wonder if he's still got it.

Hes done too much family comedy crap, when really what everyone loved was his performances in Beverly hills cop, coming to america and trading places

if he can get back to the roots of comedy with swearing in, he might be good.

I agree, Eddie Murphy is all too family comedy orientated now. I didn't mind the nutty professor and him doing donkey in shrek, but nearly everything else after kinda sucked.

In a recent interview with Extra TV, Eddie Murphy has expressed doubt in returning as Foley as "the movie wasn't ready to be done." However, in a later interview with MTV, Murphy stated he was not retiring and that he would be returning for the fourth installment. One reason he stated was that "the third Beverly Hills Cop was horrible!" and that he "didn't want to leave it like that.

Glad to hear the new Beverly Hills Cop is going to be back to R rating.
