Mega meet idea

The way I see it is that someone who'd take out someone else's car would do it on the understanding that they'd not do anything to it that they wouldn't like done to their own

If someone can't get their head around that then don't participate. I'd like to think that amongst a bunch of car-guys that basic level of sense would not be hard to achieve

The whole point of the exercise is to experience other cars you'd not normally have access to so you can form real opinions rather than the usual propagation of internet myths

It wont work. If I turn up in a GT3 for example do you REALLY think I'm going to hand the keys to a 19 year old with a Saxo no matter how good he thinks he is? Sitting next to him doesn't make it any more compelling either.

What do you drive out of interest?

as nice as the theory is the guys wth the faster/more expensive cars are just not going to go for this

I turn up in my swift sport that I'd happily rag the death out of someone isn't going to let me treat their car say an m3 the same way. Passanger rides could work though.

If a day like this were to happen, it would end in more than one broken car. I eagerly await the pictures and stories :D

Think McDonalds car park but without the cops turning up preventing things getting out of hand.

I think this thread just shows a huge "out for what you can get" attitude for most of the posters

Someone who'd go out and do something completely stupid to a car that didn't belong to them isn't a car enthusiast imo

It only takes one person to get slightly too excited with a car they ain't used too and bin it, day ruined.

It's one thing binning your own car but giving a stranger the keys and then them binning it
