MEGA MOON

Do you sleep in the garden?
No but we have a skylight in the bedroom and in the hallway outside our bedroom door so it can be pretty light at night!

(The bedroom skylight has a blackout blind, obviously. But with it open there's a fair bit of light seepage)

(And I've read that full moon affects people's sleep, too)

The moon is currently close to its Perigee. 31st October sees it at its closest. This is due to the elliptical nature of the moons orbit of earth you get a furthest distance from earth (apogee) 10% further away than perigee. When full moon coincides with Perigee then the thing looks perceptibly larger. The difference in distance is about 30,000 km. Its been spectacular this week and has generally coincided with my commute home. I am fascinated by it - perhaps Im a bit werewolf - it would explain the hairy back!
