Game gear was based on master system tech, you could buy a converter to allow it to actually play MS games. The Mega drive had the 'Nomad' which was the portable version of it that didn't come out here.

Hand held looks naff, and the consoles controllers look a bit pap. But its good it takes real cartridges. As with all these non official hardware things the build quality will prob let it down. Better off with a real mega drive or be ultra cool and find a multi mega.

Yeah, pretty sure the adapter you could get was to slot in Master System games, not the Mega Drive ones that were way awesome back then.

Mega Drive whupped the **** out of all the consoles back in its day until the SNES came out, it was way ahead of its time.

I've still got my Atari Lynx and it still pwns in a retro way

Could be worth picking one up for some nostalgic fun! With it being able to take carts, does anyone know if it is just EU games or will US & JAP games work on it as well?

BMX and surfing have to be the most addictive games ever. I'm still playing them while having a poo like 17 years after I bought it

Along with Hard Drivin', Blue Lightning, Toki, Warbirds, Electrocop, Paperboy, Scrapyard Dog and a few others. I lost my Roadblasters though, I really need to get a new one :cool:

Apparently its region free so any region will work fine.
