Megadrive

Hi all,

After reading the retro gaming thread and looking on the bay i've found a variety of megadrive consoles on sale and would like to know what games you can suggest? Never had one of these only console i've had is a cube.

So can people give me their top 10 megadrive games and suggestion which console to get and what to get with it. Want to make sure I get the right one

all the mega drives are the same just different designs afaik. all mega drive games play on each console.

off the top of my head:

sonic 1+2+3+knuckles
street fighter champions edition
micro machines 96
theme park
streets of rage 1+2+3
toejam and earl 2
wwf royal rumble

cant think of anymore at the moment

doesnt really matter mate, only thing is a megadrive 2 will be slightly newer (younger)

as far as i know, the megadrive 2 had stereo sound, but the megadrive 1 was mono, unless you used the headphone jack at the front. is that true?

Don't forget the strike games, desert strike, nuclear strike and jungle.

Classics would love to play them again.

partially. some of the earlier mk1 consoels were mono. mine was, but i modded it for stereo :cool:
