I just beat it this morning for the first time :D But only got 3 of the numbers
Level select blatenty ;) But seriously, you are a hardcore gamer, contratulations :D

Thinking about it now, that game was insanely well designed. Every 'chapter' had something really unique about its levels, the 2nd chapter went all over the place! And the bosses were proberly some of the best designed ever too. Also, the different styles of gameplay (Well, scenarios) were over to quick for anything to be repetitive. Oh and don't get me started on the warhead :p

I wanna play it now but I have an exam tommorow :_(

If you havn't played this game and own a megadrive, please ebay it or something because its a forgotten gem. You won't regret it.

Zombies Ate My Neighbours
Was fun, but it was ruined by the fact that the password system didn't save your weapons, completely ruining the whole point of continuing your game. Starting the later levels with no weapons was impossible.

Nooo, the evil lumberjack chainsaw men :(

Yeah, it is really well designed. The flying system is awesome and it's only used in one chapter! The 3D sections are great too, especially spinderella :D

Baby Face is my favourite boss, just because it's so weird.

Wiz n Liz was so awesome.

Wasn't that the game with the little wizards?
That was ace =D

Ristar
Sonic Series (They were all awesome, Sonic 3 rocks =D)
Toejam and Earl 1 and 2 (Though 1 is the better of the two)
Rocket Knight Adventures
Tiny Toon all Stars

To name a few

Same as what many people have said here...
Sonic 1+2+3 and Sonic & Knuckles, smack Sonic 3 on Sonic and Knuckles and it is GAMING HEAVEN. :D Used to borrow S & K from my friend and gave it back months later only to borrow it again :p.

Streets of Rage 1 and 2 were great, 3 was alright. So fun playing with a friend, (anyone got that glitch with Axel with his special uppercut move that did tonnes of hits sometimes?)

Road Rash and omg... GOLDEN AXE! Thats a must!

I still have my Megadrive :D

I LOVE YOU!

No one else EVER has heard of this game, which IMO is possibly the best platmormer ever. So much variety, and so impossibly hard at the end, agh!

SO good, I can't recommend it enough. Supurb.

Dude, it got like ~95% in every magazine review at the time.

Gain Ground was awesome!

also Fantasy Zone and Wonder boy series on the Master System rocked

Woo WB fan!

Best games ever. :D

Can anyone please tell me the name of the master system one where you morph into a dragon, lion, mouse etc to do certain bits, can not remember the name of it and it was sold when I was 5 so very little memory. :(

My suggestions are

Gain Ground
Smash TV
Kid Chameleon
Road Rage
Shinobi 3
Shadow Dancer
Another World
Golden Axe
Gunstar Heroes
Thunder Blade
Thunder Force 4
Virtua Racing
Wonder Boy: in Monster World

I wish there was handheld Sega console like the DS, I can play all those games again.

The best game on the MegaDrive is Phantasy Star 4, without a shadow of a doubt. Get it and kiss goodbye to a large part of your free time, even know it's still a great RPG.
Yeah PS4 is another good one. Controversially though my favourite of the PS series is PSIII. I absolutely adore it despite all it's faults. PS4 is damn good though. Did you know it was originally planned to have first-person perspective dungeons, like PS1 on the master system? It would have been interesting, but I'm actually quite glad that didn't happen tbh. Having played PS1 all the way through, I don't think I could take any more! :D
