wish I'd know that..joined back in day when built my athlon 32bit rig with a vodoo card i think (can't of been that far off after the forum started maybe..so long ago I can't remember...remember getting all the parts from OCuk , then it took me 2 weeks to get it to post at which point I was ready to throw it out the window and run down to curry's in shame...couldn't remember my username or anything...eventually found it by doing a search and found I only had 2 posts..back then I guess i just read to try an understand more rather than post and not know anythingI was grandfatherd in as I’ve been a member for a long time (2007)
yup...just checked, 1000 posted, at least 6 months a member of forum, rolling 15 posts in 90 day..posts have to be outside of the MM..ie you have to contribute to the forum, not just use the MM to access a source of 2nd hand partsIsn't it 15 posts every 90 days?
I’d rather take a little longer to find a buyer than to sell to a gammon that’s trying to scam though.Surely the drop of people with access has just made it harder to sell things
Roger RogerAnd don’t call me Shirley
I cant think of anything worse than buying here, then having to deal with the knuckle draggers and monkeys that frequent FB Marketplace..It's still decent but I have a sneaking suspicion that there's still people there who buy at MM rates just to sell on on Facebook.
15 posts across 90 days. It's devilishly hard to find the right bit of rules but been confirmed in this thread.15 posts a month? Did this change?
Not sure that I contribute but I certainly do more than 15 posts in 90 days. More like a day lol.Once you've hit the 15 posts, it's CRON job so comes back for you in a couple of hours after. Easily achievable for people who want to contribute.
That doesn’t seem so bad thenOnce you've hit the 15 posts, it's CRON job so comes back for you in a couple of hours after. Easily achievable for people who want to contribute.
Ironic.I feel the 1000 post limit is a bit counter productive (making people post 'rubbish'). I've been a member for quite some time and barely average 100 posts per year. For me quality over quantity is key....I don't want to just pointlessly reply to threads with no value just to get a post count up.

Don't do that! I'm banking on hitting 1000 posts in around 18 years time. I'll never make 5000. I read on here daily but don't often have anything of value to add so I don't post much. And that’s fine, you’ve not put much in (by your own admission) so you don’t get to the opportunity to get anything “extra” out.
The 1000 limit is good, and has worked well for a long time. We did think about upping it to 5000…
20 years of lurking and I'm nowhere near the post count! There are threads all over the forums for people to contribute - Find your niche and its easy street. I post copious amounts of rubbish and the large majority of it is in my own little world. I don't even care if nobody reads it

I did have access many years ago as I recall picking up a HD4850 and motherboard for peanuts!
I do extensively read your repair posts so maybe I should start contributing - I did used to buy c64s and disk drives to fix for fun back in the day!
