Memory card errors

Just bought a new 1gb Sony mem stick micro but when I put an album on it , say about 110mb it keeps thowing the following errors at me "cyclic redundancy check" and it says failed to complete the operation..When I put small files on it, seems ok.
the card formats ok and when I run the error check it says it is ok.
Do you think the mem card is borked

Run chkdsk to find any possible errors with the hdd and if you still have problems run memtest86 to check your memory. Perhaps use a crc checker to determine if your files are corrupted. If that fails, check the connections between the hdd and motherboard.
