Memory card for camera

Not sure if this should go in the memory section but as its for a camera i'll post it here. Feel free to move if wrong.

I have just purchased a Cannon IXUS 90 IS and need to buy a memory card for it.

Which of the compatible formats would be best. I'll be looking to get one about 2GB in size.

SD, SDHC, MMC, MMCplus, HC

I don't know which is fastest but as a brand SanDisk are well known and respected.

i was going to get a branded make, just wasnt sure of type of memory. I assume it wont matter too much as the camera will mainly be used for holidays. i'll probably get mmc.

I just got myself 2 SanDisk Ultra II 2gb cards for my new camera and only paid £8.99 each for them! They are standard SD but supposedly high speed! High street price is about £35 for them.

I think mmc plus is the fastest, about twice as fast a the fastest SD cards
