Hey All

I am about to order a new i7 Rig and cant decide on the following;

The overclocked i7 Bundle I am considering comes with 6GB of Memory.

6GB DDR3 PC3-10666C9 1333MHz Gold (3x2GB) (75.98 on its own)

Now I don't feel the need for 6GB of Memory, would I be better of getting 3GB of faster memory. For example this below or smilar; (I should note that I will be running Vista x64)

OCZ Gold 6GB DDR3 2000MHz PC3-16000C10 Low-Voltage Triple Channel Kit 3 X 2GB (104.98)

Pros and Cons for more memory over faster memory?

Cheers

As the guys have said 6GB is the way forward esp on a 64bit OS.

Personally I always go for RAM which is as fast as possible, but ive heard that the slower OCZ RAM overclocks very well all the way upto 1800mhz.

So its upto you really.

I will agree with the 6GB option as faster ram could give you a couple of percent at best most of the time, on the occasions when the system pages with only 3GB it will be multiple times slower than with 6GB.
