Hi there!

I have this motherboard: http://www.asrock.com/mb/overview.asp?Model=M3A790GXH/USB3

It supports DDR3-1600 (OC), which presumably means it supports 1600 sticks.

However, there is a spcific list of RAM sticks that it supports (http://www.asrock.com/mb/memory/M3A790GXHUSB3.pdf)

My question is, will this board support any other RAM that isn't listed there? Im on a tight budget, so would this (http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MY-180-OC&groupid=701&catid=8&subcat=1517) be suitable for my mobo?

Thanks in advance.

it means AMD do not officially support speeds above 1333mhz for that chipset, but the motherboard manufacturer has designed the board to be able to handle 1600 (so it will almost definately work at those speeds).
I dont know the ins and outs of current AMD systems as me and my friends all have intel setups, but from memory standard FSB is 200mhz, so you will need to run at a 8x RAMmulti to get 1600mhz.
Hopfully somone with more AMD experience will chime in with their thoughts

edit: also bear in mind that you don't HAVE to run your ram at its full rated speeds!
