maybe a very noob question but i built my system a few years ago and got the best ram at the time (8GB of Samsung Green) in 2 x 4gb sticks.
can i just buy any other DDR3 ram and stick it in (upgrading to 16gb)?
do i have to buy all new ram which is the same?
