I recently bought a computer from OCuk, ("Ultima OC GTX") and when I used cpuz to find out the memory speed I found that instead of PC2-8500 memory, it was PC2-6400 memory that cpuz listed my pc as having. When I sent a webnote to OCuk asking why this was the case, they responded with this:
Thank you for your webnote.
The memory will be detected as 6400 regardless of the speed it is rated at, with regards to the
settings please get in touch with our technical support team and they can either provide the
settings to you or arrange a return back to ourselves.
Is this true?
