Hey,

I have just got "OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5"
I did have "Corsair 2GB (2x1GB) 6400

Im running a Shuttle SN68PTG5 AM2 Barebone.
I put the new memory in and after 5 mins and a few errors (i.e Explorer, Virus scanner) i get a blue screen, i says loads of stuff but at the bottom it says "phisical memory dump" i dont know anything about memory i thought i was just plug and play.
Is there anything i need to do in BIOS or somthing.

Thanks for your help.

have you disabled your system recovery so you can read the full BSOD (This stops your machine automatically restarting when it crashes)? If not then do so, then I recomend googling the specific error code and seeing what you get (should link to ms technical site too) If still no joy come back with the specific code to see if anyones encountered it, but without knowing specifics theres not much anyone can do
Other than that you can run memtest or memtest86 on your RAM to make sure none of its faulty (if it definately is a RAM issue)

Moving to 4Gb+ can cause problems for some people. Sometimes, if you have the option in your BIOS, you need to increase the tRFC value to around 45+ to get stability. You could perhaps try bumping the voltage up slightly to see if that helps also. :)

Think i might have sorted it, apparantly theirs is a but on the
standered BIOS with my model suttle so had to upgade the BIOS.
It was still alittle dogey after that soo i raised the voltage a bit
and seem to have sorted it self. but might have to raise the voltage
a little more. The ram i was useing was 1.8v and the new stuff is 2.1 - 2.2v .

Thanks for all your help!
