Memory Failure emulation

Hehe, the above would work - but the permanent bit may be an issue :)

Does anyone know if there are any tools available to emulate a RAM failure?

You could exceed the memorys official timings until the sytsem becomes unstable. You could do the same with frequency

Or you could under supply voltage.

Why do you want to do this?

None of those solutions actually emulate a RAM failure, they would be real failures :)

I know what you mean but i wasn't sure from his post whether he wanted to induce a memory failure or find an app that show's screens of simulated failures.

If it's the latter - then doing a search on the forums for memory problems (or general problems) and recording the fault/cause would probably give him a good batch of data to cross reference. If that is why he needs it...

Must admit i'm curious as to why he needs it.

Not allowed to go into too much detail... but a client of the company I work for requires a monitoring solution for multiple proliant servers. I need to purposely fail various components to ensure that they can be monitored.
