Does anyone use one of these?

Our mattress is borked and now my back is as a consequence; so we're thinking about getting a (relatively) cheap memory foam mattress after spending a night on a really expensive one at a friend's house.

Does anyone have any advice on these things? Are there any manufacturers I should avoid?

There's a high-street shop selling Breasley mattresses quite cheaply. Has anyone got any experience with these?

TIA

If you put them against a similer priced spring one they destroy them. I love my cheapo one and it gives me such a good nights sleep, although I've always liked a fairly firm bed.

A top end sprung one will be more comfortable, though

My GF has one of these, and its comfy, but I get the feeling that I'm sinking into it and can't really move around properly. I prefer my spring-powered mattress.

I've got a pocket spring/memory foam mattress and it's very comfortable. The only problem I have is that the foam seems to retain heat so you can get very hot on them in summer.

My folks and sister have a memory foam one and they're pretty weird at first but now I want one, I dislike sprung ones, feel too springy!

We went to a Bed shop (Dreams??) tried a few out then bought it on tinternet for £200 less. Ours was spring with a foam topper and it is really comfy.

Not sure of the medical benefits but my pregnant wife has stopped waking up 3 times in the night and waking up with a bad back in the morning.

Bought a 5cm for a super king size last year from an online store because our mattress was to hard. Sleep much better and there are very cosy. Bear in mind though that one, the ours slips to one side because I'm the first one up every morning and secondly, you do get quite warm because the foam surrounds you more than a standard.

Don't bother with the pillows. I find that they are very cosy but your head is locked and turning your head becomes much harder.

I brought a mattress topper from a company called sleep assured. My old matress was getting v uncomfortable and worn, cost me £59 delivered next day, let it air for 24 hours and its sooo comfortable.

I only brought the mattress topper because I didn't want to spend £700 on proper all in 1 memory foam mattress and not like it. Now I know what their like sometime in the future I will buy a proper mattress and not just the topper, but for now its awesome.

Bare in mind that sex in a memory foam bed is more 'tricky'

Tell me about it lol...my ex had one and i just couldnt get used to having sex in it...although i loved the memory foam mattress...very comfy and didnt suffer from back pain.

I bought one for my mum last yr and she absolutely loves it...she also suffers from bad back pain but since shes had the mattress shes been pretty much painless.

Cost me close £1500 though.

Need to buy myself one..

impossible to sleep on anything else once you buy one. best purchase this year!

Agreed. Although when they wife first got one I hated it. Now I wouldn't want to be without it.

No it isn't. Anyway even if it was it wouldn't be anywhere as tricky as doing any "interesting" sex.
