Hi could i just ask for some advice/ideas, I have 16Gb 4 x 4Gb Corsair XMS 3 CMX8GX3M2A1600C9 and I have been having issues with my Pc crashing and rebooting and it looks like it may be the memory but I have ran memtest on them, individually, in pairs and all in together and not had any errors. I have ran prime on the pc and again no errors but for some reason if I have all in my mobo then i have issues but with just two in it seems to be fine.

My system is running stock speeds on cpu and i have tried setting the RAM timings and voltage manually and stock but all together causes issues, it's on a clean install of win 8.1 but had the same problem on win7,can anyone think of anything I may be missing it's been driving me mad.

Thanks

how much cpu/vtt are you using? if stock 1.05v I would try with 1.10v in the bios and see if its more stable

you'll need more with 16gb

It is 1.05V I usually just leave it as auto, i have set it to 1333mhz at the moment but will try uping it to 1.10v and see if that helps.

Thanks

be sure to flash the board to latest bios first, then set to rated speed or use xmp profile and manually set cpu/vtt to 1.10v

I set the vtt to 1.10v and RAM to 1600 and manually set the timings and it still crashed, I upted to 1.15v and it still crashed, I have lowered the speed to 1333mhz and it has been running fine, it's crashing at random times so difficult to pin down, so it may be something else, I will keep trying and if I find out will post the problem. Thanks

I think I may have found a solution, I set the RAM to 1.5v, says 1.65v on the specs, and set all timings manually, set the vtt to 1.10v and been using it and not had a crash, I think it may have been the setting of the RAM to 1.65v. Thanks for the help
